Player One Coffee Peanut Butter and Jelly Blend Review
Hello everyone and welcome back to Tick n’ Sip! For today’s review, we will be focusing on a brand of coffee called Player One. For Christmas, I received several varieties of the many different coffees they offer on their website. For this review, I will be specifically focusing on the Peanut Butter and Jelly coffee blend.
Player One Coffee is a coffee company based in Salt Lake City, Utah that was founded in 2017. Upon receiving my packages of coffee, I could tell that they were generously packed full of beans and as I opened my first bag, the pleasantly strong aroma struck me instantaneously. The Peanut Butter and Jelly coffee definitely lives up to its name. On initial impression, I could sense a very strong nutty smell that almost resembles that of a sweet butterscotch with light undertones of a sweet fruitiness. I always buy my coffee in a whole bean variety and my family definitely knows me well because that’s exactly how all of my coffees came. I tend to prefer whole bean coffee to pre-ground coffee because I find that freshly ground coffee tends to taste much better. I’ve been using this coffee both in my drip coffee maker as well as in my espresso machine. I find that the Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor is a bit weaker flavor wise with milk added than it is black, but when you use it in an espresso form in a latte or by itself, it exaggerates the nuttier and fruitier flavors of the coffee.
Unlike many artificially flavored coffees, this Peanut Butter and Jelly coffee is naturally flavored by the way the coffee beans are roasted compared to having a flavor added. In turn, the coffee doesn’t taste fake at all like many additive flavorings in other coffees I’ve tried. In regards to using this coffee in an espresso machine, it works absolutely great! The coffee was extremely fresh upon arrival and it tasted great cup after cup. No matter how I brewed it, the Player One Peanut Butter and Jelly coffee was always smooth and creamy with a full body and mellow flavor. The warm butterscotch-like nuttiness and hint of fruitiness was a great change from the everyday coffees I’m used to. I would definitely recommend this coffee to everyone I know (even those who don’t like coffee!) I really also appreciated that this coffee was a light roast because I feel as if Player One has struck the perfect balance of nuttiness for this blend. I will most definitely be ordering this coffee again in the future.
If you’d like to order a bag of Player One Peanut Butter and Jelly Coffee, I will provide the link to their website below. You can get this particular blend of coffee in either ground or whole bean in a 12 ounce bag for $16. I hope to review other coffee blends from them in the near future. This review was not sponsored in any way by Player One and was done because I love this coffee so much!
