Coach Men’s Signature Canvas Slim Billfold Wallet Review
Hello everyone! I apologize for not updating the blog for awhile. 2020 has been a miserable year for most of us and I am no different. I had been super busy with trying to run my own business while juggling other tasks in life. Today I have something special to share on Tick n’ Sip. Not only do I have a new product review, but I have a special announcement to make. From now on, Tick’ n Sip will feature not only coffee and watches, but other luxury goods from watches to fine leather goods and everything in between.
For today’s review, I will be featuring my first product ever from Coach. This actually happens to be the first luxury wallet that I’ve ever owned. I upgraded from a nice Rustico leather money clip wallet that I used for a few years. It served me very well, but I didn’t have enough room to fit everything I needed, so I figured I’d like to switch things up.
For my first venture into any sort of designer luxury brand, I thought purchasing something from the Coach brand would be appropriate. Over the past few years that I’ve done research for myself, I came to the conclusion that Coach was a good brand that offered a lot in terms of a value for money proposition. I wanted something that would be sturdy and that will last me for many years to come and that I wouldn’t have to worry about it being too flashy where it might attract some unwanted attention. I think this wallet serves its purpose perfectly! This Coach Canvas Billfold Wallet features Coach’s signature logo print and can be purchased in either a Khaki or Charcoal/Black variety. I personally went for the Khaki variant because I love all things gilt/vintage styled and I am attracted to warmer colors. So far for the few short weeks I have had this wallet, I am very impressed by its quality. Despite being about a quarter of the cost of similar wallets from other luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton or Gucci and being made in China instead of France, or Italy, this Coach wallet definitely holds its own in the details. It features a gorgeous coated canvas that has a texture akin to that of pebbled leather. It’s interior features six card slots and and a full-length bill compartment with the majority of the interior being made of Coach’s refined calf leather.
One of my absolute favorite features of this wallet is how slim it is. I usually carry my wallet in the breast pocket of my shirt as opposed to my pants pocket so I always know where it is at at all times and it fits perfectly. The stitching is clean and immaculate on the wallet I received. There was a slight defect in the leather on my wallet, and for the price I paid for the wallet, I was hoping there would be more leather overall in the wallet. The image above makes it seem as though the enterior is made entirely of leather, but it is no more than leather pieces stitched onto a soft fabric. My only other gripe is that the packaging the Coach came is is rather unceremonious and it could be much nicer for its $125 price tag. However with these things being said, I don’t feel like this wallet is of poor quality and it feels as though it will hold up for years to come. I really love how this wallet feels in the hands. It is thin and light and it is very pliable. I feel like pictures don’t really do this wallet any justice for how nice it looks in person.
As this wallet ages, I will likely write a review several years from now to show how well it has held up. For it being considered somewhat of an entry level luxury brand, this wallet offers plenty of bang for its buck. I cannot recommend this wallet enough for anyone who is looking to get into the Coach brand or for anyone who is looking to buy this for someone a gift. This wallet is available directly from Coach’s website using the link below for $125.
