Apple Watch Series 4 Stainless Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to Tick n’ Sip!
Recently, I purchased a new Apple Watch Series 4 and I have finally decided to review it.
The Apple Watch Series 4 is a beautiful blend of a watch and technology. The casing on the stainless steel model is beautifully machined to create a smooth look that is rounded, yet squared at the same time. The back of the watch features Apple’s redesigned heart rate monitor that is covered with a sapphire crystal and is surrounded by black ceramic material. The edge to edge display covered by a sapphire crystal on the Series 4 Stainless model is absolutely stunning, and the colors are very vibrant. To compliment my watch, I decided to purchase a separate blue fluoroelastomer Sport Band (not pictured) which happens to be waterproof and extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Shortly after purchasing the Sport Band, I decided to add to my band collection with Apple's Cape Cod Blue Leather Loop, which is also extraordinarily comfortable and is perfect for formal events. I still use my Sport Band for exercising, as the leather material is not recommended for exposure to water or sweat.

Besides its aesthetics, the Apple Watch has another subtle touch that aids in blurring the lines between technology and watches. The Digital Crown has been updated to include haptic feedback, which makes operating the watch even more satisfying than its predecessor. On the more technological side, Apple Watch now features the capability to take an ECG just by pressing your finger on the crown. The Series 4 also comes preinstalled with an array of watch faces that range from simple to complex, and feature shortcuts to reach your widgets faster.
Apple’s newest watch is very handy in a multitude of situations. From being able to take a phone call or respond to a text on your wrist, this watch feels like an extension of your iPhone, rather than acting as a replacement. The watch also features many smart home capabilities, as well as the option to be able to listen to music via wireless Bluetooth headphones or Apple's AirPods directly from the watch. For those who travel without their phones, the Apple Watch is available in cellular models that allows you to be able to still receive the same information as you would on your phone, but on your wrist. The Apple Watch also makes a wonderful fitness tracker with its built-in heart rate monitor and system of rings that track your steps, exercise, and hours standing. The watch is also waterproof to 50 meters, and it is engineered to be able to track your swimming activity as well.

Overall, the Apple Watch Series 4 is a beautiful watch. To a large degree, it looks and feels like a watch, especially with the Stainless Steel model. At my visit to the Apple store, I had the opportunity to test out both watch models including the aluminum and the stainless. In the end, I decided to go for the Stainless Steel model because it has greater heft and feels more luxurious. The watch is packed full of features that are quite useful and are great to have at the flick of your wrist. Apple’s new watches start at $399 for the Aluminum Sport models and start at $699 for the Stainless Steel models and are available in Stainless Steel, Gold, or Space Gray.
